Have chimney swept and inspected — wood burning
Why it matters
Creosote — a flammable byproduct of wood burning — builds up inside the flue. A 1/8" buildup is enough to cause a chimney fire, which can reach 2,000°F and spread to the structure. Annual sweeping removes it.
Stop forgetting to do this.
