How to do it

Turn off the circulation pump at the control panel.

Open the skimmer access lid(s) on the pool deck.

Lift out the plastic basket; dump leaves and debris into trash.

Rinse basket thoroughly with a garden hose to remove algae film.
- 5
Inspect basket for cracks or wear; replace if damaged.

Replace basket, close lid, and restart pump.
