Clear French drain
Why it matters
Clogged French drains redirect water into the foundation, causing flooding and damage.
Stop forgetting to do this.
Hearth generates a personalized maintenance schedule so you never miss another clear french drain.
How to do it
- 1
Locate the French drain inlet near the foundation.
- 2
Use a plumbing snake to push through the line.
- 3
If snake fails, rent a high-pressure jetter.
- 4
Feed jetter hose along the pipe length.
- 5
Verify water flows freely to the daylight outlet or sump.
- 6
Cap inlet and test during next heavy rain.
