Clean dryer lint trap
Why it matters
Dryer lint is the leading cause of appliance fires — causing nearly 16,000 home fires annually. A clogged lint trap also extends drying time, wasting energy and money.
Stop forgetting to do this.
HomeOS generates a personalized maintenance schedule so you never miss another clean dryer lint trap.
How to do it
- 1
Slide out the lint screen before or after every load.
- 2
Roll off the lint with your fingers.
- 3
Monthly: wash the screen with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue that clogs the mesh.
- 4
Allow to dry before reinstalling.
