Replace whole-home humidifier evaporator pad

Difficulty: easyTime: 20 minsEst. Cost: $10 - $30

Why it matters

The evaporator pad develops hard mineral deposits over a season. A caked pad blocks airflow and prevents the humidifier from adding any moisture — you just don't notice until your skin and wood floors start cracking.
