Inspect Accessibility Ramp Surface & Fasteners

Why it matters

Worn anti-slip surface and loose fasteners increase fall risk for wheelchair users or those with mobility aids; a ramp collapse is catastrophic.

How to do it

  Walk the full length of the ramp and feel for slippery areas or peeling anti-slip coating

  Tighten all visible bolts with a wrench; check for movement or corrosion

  Inspect welds and joints for rust or cracking (photograph if present)

  Replace peeling anti-slip tape or recoat with rubberized surface treatment
