How to do it
- 1
Stand at the end of your driveway or street and attempt to read your house numbers from a moving vehicle's perspective.
- 2
Check visibility in daylight and at night (ask a family member to drive by with headlights).
- 3
Trim tree branches or shrubs that obscure the numbers; make cuts at least 3 feet away.
- 4
If numbers are faded, missing, or too small, replace with high-contrast or reflective markers at least 4 inches tall.
- 5
If nighttime visibility is poor, install solar LED lights or upgrade to illuminated numbers.
- 6
Place duplicate numbers on the side of the house facing the street and at the end of the driveway for clarity.
