How to do it

  Turn off the mini-split system at the wall control or breaker.

  Open the front access panel of the indoor wall-mounted unit.

  Locate and remove the air filter and front cover to access the blower wheel.

  Consult your unit manual for the safe removal procedure for the blower wheel.

  Carefully unscrew or unclip the blower wheel from the motor shaft.

  Prepare a dilute bleach solution (1 part bleach to 10 parts water) in a bucket.

  Soak the wheel in the solution for 15 minutes to kill mold spores.

  Scrub the wheel gently with a soft brush and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
