Check propane tank level before heating season
Why it matters
Running out of propane mid-winter requires an emergency delivery (expensive, sometimes slow), and re-lighting pilot lights on appliances can be a hassle. A fall check gives you time to schedule routine deliveries.
Stop forgetting to do this.
HomeOS generates a personalized maintenance schedule so you never miss another check propane tank level before heating season.
How to do it
- 1
Find the gauge on top of the tank (reads 0–100%).
- 2
If below 30%, call your propane supplier to schedule a delivery.
- 3
Consider signing up for automatic delivery if available in your area — they schedule based on usage and weather patterns.
- 4
Note: a very cold tank may read lower than actual — warm it with your hand before reading.
