Refrigerator filters reduce chlorine, sediment, and some contaminants. After 6 months, filter capacity is exhausted — and a clogged filter can restrict water flow to the ice maker, causing it to produce small or misshapen cubes.

How to do it

Locate the filter (usually inside the fridge compartment in the upper right, or in the base grille).

Push the eject button or twist counterclockwise to remove.
- 3
Insert the new filter and push or twist to lock.
- 4
Run 2–3 gallons of water through the dispenser to flush the new filter.
- 5
Reset the filter indicator light.
