How to do it

Turn off the whole-house humidifier at the unit control or breaker.

Locate the water tank and drain it completely into a sink.

Mix a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and distilled water in a bucket.

Soak the tank in the solution for 1 hour to dissolve mineral buildup.

Use a soft brush to scrub the interior walls and remove any deposits.

Rinse the tank thoroughly with distilled water and allow to air dry.
- 7
Refill with distilled water and restore power to test humidistat response.
