Service Mosquito Mister System
Why it matters
Unmaintained misters lose 30–50% efficacy due to clogged nozzles and low pyrethrin levels, defeating the primary investment benefit. Slow leaks in tubing also waste expensive concentrate and reduce coverage.
Stop forgetting to do this.
Hearth generates a personalized maintenance schedule so you never miss another service mosquito mister system.
How to do it
- 1
Turn off the mister system at the controller or shutoff valve.
- 2
Inspect the entire tubing run (eaves, deck posts, fence line) for soft spots, cracks, pooling, or loose fittings.
- 3
Check and clean the reservoir filter; top up concentrate if below 75% full.
- 4
Locate all nozzles and inspect each for black/tan deposits blocking the opening.
- 5
Use a soapy water bottle and soft brush to clean each nozzle until fog emerges without sputtering.
- 6
Replace the pyrethrin cartridge per manufacturer schedule (usually once per season, ~$100).
