Service snow blower pre-season
Why it matters
Stale fuel, bad spark plugs, worn belts, and sheared auger pins cause mid-storm failures.
Stop forgetting to do this.
Hearth generates a personalized maintenance schedule so you never miss another service snow blower pre-season.
How to do it
- 1
Drain fuel from carburetor or add fuel stabilizer to existing fuel.
- 2
Remove and inspect spark plug; replace if electrode is worn or gap is incorrect.
- 3
Check auger shear pins for cracks; replace if damaged.
- 4
Inspect drive belt for cracks, fraying, or wear; replace if needed.
- 5
Verify all safety switches (dead-man lever, chute rotation) work smoothly.
- 6
Check and change oil if recommended by manufacturer.
- 7
Run engine for 2-3 minutes to circulate fresh oil and stabilized fuel.
- 8
Store in warm, dry location with fuel stabilized.
