How to do it

Disconnect all garden hoses from outdoor spigots and store indoors.

Open each frost-free hose bib fully.

Listen for water draining back inside the wall.

If no drain sound, the check valve has failed.

Close the interior shut-off valve for winter on failed bibs.

Test again in spring after closing.
