Walk through every room and vacuum the exterior of all heat registers and return vents.

Remove vent covers that are heavily soiled.

Wash removed covers with warm soapy water and allow to dry completely.

Vacuum inside the duct as far as the hose will safely reach.
- 5
Reinstall the clean vent covers securely.
